More about Pauline

I have been suffering on and off for years regarding my mental health. The Women’s Wellbeing Club helped me to reach out for support. I was encouraged to attend the first meeting in July when it first opened here and I have been ever since and now support the main facilitator. The main important thing I would encourage women to do is to reach out even when they are so down and depressed. For me personally, this support group has become my bridge and I can cross it whenever I need it. It’s always there for us. I know it can be really difficult to talk when you most need it and I know from personal experience that when I reach rock bottom I feel a burden. This group has never made me feel like that at all. For example, this week when I was asked how my week been I thought it was ok but the more I talked about my week I started to cry because although I thought I was coping I wasn’t. Its nothing to be ashamed of letting it go and after attending this group for some time now I feel I can reach out to others now when I need to and the care and support we receive at the group has helped me achieve that

More about Di

I’m Di a facilitator at the Paignton WWC. About me I’ve worked out in the community for over 30 years helping vulnerable adults to adjust to a better life. I’m very passionate about WWC If I can help just one lady to feel better about herself to overcome her demons, I feel I will have done something worth doing. Mental health has become such an issue of late, with either poor support or with long waiting list. WWC has neither of these. The support is fantastic, no referral, no waiting list no charge, but plenty of friendships being made.
Sorry no photo as I wouldn’t want someone who I’ve visited not to come as they know me!!
