Meetings are led by one of our volunteer facilitators. A set format is followed each week. Everyone can be heard and listened to if they have something they wish to share in response to the questions asked that week.

More about Gillian
My name is Gillian, I am 50 years old, with 3 grown-up children.
I stumbled across WWC on Facebook and couldn’t believe my luck, this was exactly what I was needing and looking for.
My life has taken many twists and turns over many years. 6 years ago I made a life-changing decision which lead me to move to a new area, I didn’t know and anyone and within 8 weeks I found myself and my 11 year old son homeless over Xmas and New Year. We were in 2 hostels and eventually after 6 months we were housed. Ever since that happened to us, I desperately wanted to help and support other women wherever I could. But life and time got in the way, until very recently. I had met a lovely man and we were together for 2 and a half years, however, we did split up for several months and within that time I felt very lonely and isolated, I needed help, I needed to speak to other women, I wanted support and again I wanted to give support. So here I am..a facilitator, helping support other ladies, helping myself and hoping to encourage other ladies to reach out
More about Shel
I personally joined Women’s Wellbeing Club to receive support, and there was nothing really on offer in my area.
My husband is going through some mental health issues and I’m battling depression along with Crohn’s Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, ME/CFS, Idiopathic Hypersomnia, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Fibromyalgia; whilst trying to support my husband.
I heard about the club through my husband, he is a member of Andys Man Club & the founders created the same group format, for us ladies.
I have since been able to support other women, connected with others & made friends, which has been really valuable, especially with the current pandemic.
I know any health issues (or difficult experiences), be it mentally or physically, can cause isolation and by becoming a Facilitator, I think I can use my experiences to help other women.
